Are you blogging instead of writing?
If you use the excuse "but I'm blogging" as to why you aren't making progress on that book, short story, poem, etc. that is languishing somewhere in the recesses of your mind, you simply must take a look at this little gem by the author, Robin Hobb. (Many thanks to DD#1 for posting this on her blog, "Everything's Just Smooty").

fortunately, I've never been ambitious enough to consider writing a book... :))
For me, blogging is as good as it gets.
See why I don't keep up with Live Journal and Facebook and all that? I do know exactly what the author is saying, though. If I have a lot on my blog, I'm not writing. Blog and blood. Heh.
